Measuring Development

While there is no universally accepted definition of a “developing country” a number of multi-faceted measurement tools are available that take into account a wide array of economic, social and environmental indicators.  Since “development figures” are often lengthy and dense policymakers and managers may benefit from a short list of questions included in this report that can be used to assist them in looking at the data from a more practical perspective and generating answers and ideas that can be incorporated into planning activities.
